Method #01 – Settings App

NOTE: This method applies to all versions of iPhone.

Step #01 – On your iPhone’s Home Screen (also known as the SpringBoard), find an app named “Settings” and then tap on it.

Step #02 – Tap on “General”.

Step #03 – Tap on “About”.

On this screen, you will be able to find the IMEI number of your iPhone along with the other details of your phone such as model number, serial number, and firmware.

You can even copy the IMEI number to your iPhone’s clipboard by tapping and holding the number for few seconds.

Method #02 – Dialling a Code

Using this method, your iPhone’s IMEI number will be instantly displayed on your phone’s screen.

NOTE: This method applies to all versions of iPhone.

Step #01 – On your iPhone, open “Phone” app.

Step #02 – Tap on “Keypad”.

Step #03 – Dial the generic IMEI checking code, *#06#.

New screen will popup showing you the IMEI number of your iPhone. But remember that the interface will not allow you to copy the number.

 

Method #03 – Lower Backside of Your iPhone

NOTE: This method applies to iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, and the original iPhone.

Apple has engraved the IMEI number along with the other details about design, assembly and model number, which are located on the lower backside of your iPhone. Just flip your phone around and you will be able to find the IMEI number of your iPhone.

Method #04 – SIM Card Tray

NOTE: This method applies to iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G.

Step #01Eject the SIM card tray from your iPhone using SIM eject tool or paper clip.

IMPORTANT: While ejecting, please pay attention to the orientation of your SIM card tray because you must need to insert it in the same orientation.

Step #02 – Once the SIM card tray has been successfully ejected, you are going to find iPhone IMEI number printed on the upper-side of the tray along with the serial number on the lower side.

Step #03 – Note the IMEI number and then insert the SIM card tray back into your iPhone in the correct orientation.

 

Method #05 – iTunes Software

NOTE: This method applies to all versions of iPhone.

You can find iPhone IMEI number using iTunes software on your Windows or Mac computer.

Step #01 – Connect your iPhone to your computer using the supplied USB connectivity cable.

Step #02 – Open iTunes software on your computer, if it does not open automatically.

Step #03 – On iTunes 12, view your iPhone by clicking on the device’s icon located in the upper-left corner.

Step #05 – In-between the “Capacity” and “Serial Number”, there will be your “Phone Number”. Click on the phone number to reveal the hidden IMEI number of your iPhone.

 

Method #06 – Through Your iPhone Backup

NOTE: This method will only work if your iPhone was previously synced with your computer through iTunes.

Step #01(a) – If you are on Mac computer, open iTunes software and then go to “Preferences”.

Step #01(b) – If you are on Windows computer, open iTunes software, go to “Edit” and then to “Preferences”.

Step #02 – Click on the “Devices” tab.

Method #07 – Your iPhone’s Packaging

In case your iPhone has been lost, stolen or you don’t have a physical access to it, then the only way to find your iPhone’s IMEI number is by searching for the barcode on the original packaging of your phone which you got at the time of purchase.
